Painting for Isaac's room

Soon after we moved to Narrows, I made plans for some paintings for Isaac's room. I started one when Liz was 8 months or so pregnant. The due date was coming up so on Saturday, Sept 11 I started painting in earnest so it would be done in time for Isaac to be born. Well, that Saturday happened to be the day Liz went into labor so, needless to say, I didn't get it done.

Since then things have been crazy busy as they are when you have a new tiny person in the home so it was very difficult finding time to finish it. However, with some free time and some extra "motivation" from Liz, I finished it!

The plan is to do a series of 3 paintings based off of Horton the Elephant (are you seeing the connection?) This one had to be done first of course since it represents a new baby coming and the excitement of a dad (or mom) who's been sitting on an egg for an awfully long time. For some reason the picture quality is only so so but I hope you guys enjoy it.

Now it's time to work on my Dad's painting (don't worry Dad, I didn't forget about it).
