Easter

Hey everyone,

This April we've done more of the same, except Isaac, he does new things all the time. Not super amazing things, but because I'm around him all day I notice how he can suddenly reach the thing that he couldn't yesterday or how he slept 1/2 an hour more or something like that.

Noteworthy things include:

Isaac venturing into the world of solids. Though he doesn't really eat much solid food we've tried a few pureed items, a cookie (gasp!), and most successfully: graham crackers. Aren't you glad you didn't have to clean up for this?

I made these "thin mints" to use up some extra chocolate and this is what happens when I leave the room.....

Having some friends over for Easter Weekend (yay! Jake and Lauren!!). We're excited b/c some of our college friends live close enough to do a weekend visit. We dyed eggs, hid them for each other, ate tons of Easter candy, celebrated Christ's resurrection and bunnies laying eggs.

Yes Fletcher, Isaac has another doggy friend.

Hiking Angel's rest
James had Monday off so we decided to hike a local part of the Appalachian trail called Angel's Rest. It was a bad call, our baby sling got hot pretty fast so we hardly used it, which meant James or me (mostly James) carryied Isaac most of the way. I say most of the way because 2/3rds of the way up I pooped out and James' bravely forged on his own while I worried about ticks and Isaac napped.

Grandpa's business visits with overalls
James' Dad has recently had some business trips to Salem which is an hour away. Close enough however to visit us now and again, they have a common favorite outfit: overalls.

Random Isaac cuteness:

One minute he was playing and then I looked over soon after to find my littlest boy asleep.
Here he is enjoying his feet

We had a good weekend and hope you did too.
